DLG Field Days 2026 – great interest in boncrop
The DLG Field Days 2026 in Bernburg (Saxony-Anhalt) once again provided an important platform for discussion on modern crop production.
Visitor numbers in 2026 were somewhat lower than in previous years. Reasons for this included, on the one hand, the farm structures in the region, but also the weather conditions, which ultimately led many farms to focus on grass and GPS harvesting.
Nevertheless, numerous practical and high-quality technical discussions took place. The topic of biostimulants was of particular interest to many visitors. Interest ranged from initial exploratory discussions to specific questions regarding practical application.
The crops in the raised beds were a key point of interest; sugar beet and potatoes, in particular, attracted a great deal of attention.
The discussions clearly reflected the current challenges: many farmers are grappling intensively with rising costs, and extreme weather conditions are a cause for concern. This is another reason why there is growing interest in solutions that can stabilise crop stands and better mitigate production-related risks.
