Biostimulants for sugar beet

Only beets with upright leaves produce sugar

Sugar beets have particularly high requirements when it comes to soil quality. Healthy and well-formed leaves with an optimal photosynthesis rate and a well-functioning metabolism are essential for high yields. boncrop flow provides crucial support here.

Here, we explain how biostimulants support metabolic processes and root development.

Advantages of boncrop flow in sugar beets and your benefit

Zuckerruebe Advantages
Benefits
Strong leaf apparatus More leaf area and maximum photosynthetic performance
Optimised sugar production A vital metabolism ensures efficient sugar production and storage
Greater stress tolerance Reduced reactions to heat and drought, plants remain vigorous for longer and recover more quickly
Improved root growth Efficient water and nutrient uptake for vital crops
Simple application Optimum application in combination with the last NAC treatment before row closure

Practical demonstration - boncrop flow in sugar beets

The right control clearly shows that a treatment of boncrop flow results in a significantly larger beet body with well-defined root growth at the root tip. The untreated control (the sugar beet on the left) has a significantly smaller beet body.

Where boncrop flow has been used, the sugar beet crop appears significantly more vigorous. The plants have stronger leaves and bodies. During periods of heat and drought stress, the plants exhibit slower leaf wilting and recover more rapidly, due to greater stress resilience.

This guarantees a greater sugar beet yield with optimal sugar content at harvest!

Controlled trial – Higher beet yield with boncrop flow

In precision trial 2025 on sugar beets (location: Weeze, North Rhine-Westphalia), the use of boncrop flow resulted in a significant increase in yield compared to the untreated control.

The beet yield in fresh mass increased to 113.37 t/ha with boncrop flow, while the control only achieved 108.42 t/ha. This corresponds to a yield increase of +4.6%.

boncrop flow supports the performance of sugar beets and contributes measurably to higher yields - a solid foundation for greater profitability in beet cultivation.

Perfect timing and quantity

We recommend using boncrop flow on sugar beets:

  • Recommended application rate: 2 l/ha from BBCH 15 (with the next NAK treatment)
