Biostimulants for potatoes

Strength against stress with boncrop flow

Potatoes are a valuable yet demanding crop.

boncrop flow supports potato growth in many different ways. It starts with the root growth and even encourages a higher photosynthetic performance and better tolerance to stress.

Advantages of boncrop flow in potatoes and your benefit

Kartoffeln Advantages
Benefits
Strong root growth Higher water and nutrient uptake lead to a better root system with high yields at the same time
Greater stress tolerance and higher photosynthetic performance Better drought stress tolerance, easier irrigation management and higher starch production
More efficient metabolism Increased plant vitality for uniform growth
Homogeneous crops More uniform growth and improved harvest quality
Better sorting Higher proportion of marketable goods and optimised marketing

exact tests boncrop flow in potatoes

We use GEP-certified test providers for our exact tests on boncrop flow. In recent years, the use of boncrop flow in potatoes has shown a significant increase in both the individual group yield and total tuber yield.

Flow exact test for Belana potatoes

With boncrop flow, significantly fewer undersized potatoes were present in the crop and a greater total yield was achieved in the Belana variety (a table potato) at the Huntlosen site in 2023. In 2022, the use of boncrop flow clearly increased the total tuber yield by 3% for the Chenoa variety (used for chips and french fries).

Perfect timing and quantity

We recommend splitting the application of boncrop flow in the potato:

  • Recommended application rate: 2 treatments of 2 litres/ha each
  • 1st treatment with 2 litres/ha from BBCH 30-40 at the beginning of the hook stage (usually shortly before row closure). Optimum assurance of vitality, photosynthetic performance and yield formation of the potato, even under stress.
  • 2nd treatment with 2 litres/ha after 7 to 21 days (adapted to the plant protection measures on the farm).
  • No additional pass necessary, as boncrop flow can generally be combined well with the usual plant protection measures.
